Default Just a possible safety issue . . .

Just curious of how many owners drive with fog lights on if they don't have daytime running lights on already ?

Call me paranoid, but since I got mine I make sure that my fogs (with the new high intensity led's) are on at all times.

Just want a sporting chance and try to keep someone from pulling out in front of me - not that it mattered the other afternoon, but I won't go into that for fear of raising my blood pressure again.....

This just turns on the parking lights, correct?

Not sure how well you can see the fog lights in this photo with the car at an angle, but I think they give considerably more visibility....

But anyway, I guess the point of my post really was - do others corvette drivers feel that they are not being seen as clearly as they might otherwise be - it just seems that it is easy to look right over one in many circumstance...!

If you want the fog lights on with the park lights would it be so hard to add something that would turn on the fog lights at the same time?

If you want them to only be on with the engine running you could possibly add a relay, and a diode to the fuel pump switch on the oil pressure sensor that will turn on the fog lights.

that's easy for you to say as I mentioned in another post, mechanics are not my fortie; and, I'd really like for the car to run once more when all that's complete !

But I do know someone who I can put to the test, and since I just found him an elusive differential he owes me .....

I will do this from time to time depending upon the situation.

I'll give all the credit to "CANON" here, cause it really isn't . . .

The answer to your question is yes. Thats all you need and this is a cheap soultion. The C5 and C6 also uses the parking lights as DRLs so same concept

Here in the UK it's illegal to drive with fogs on all the time, their only to be used "when conditions require due to impaired visibility".

That's understandable since in the UK you also drive on the wrong side of the roads, while we drive on the right side

now admit it, you knew that was coming.....

How good are the LED's for light output?

Wish the US had that law. For too many, especially those with blinding lights, they only get turned off when they burn out.

Then, I think the DRL stuff is fiction.

I like to do that, but I find I don't always remember to turn them off. When pulling into the garage I can see that there on, but when parking in a lot outside in the day time, I sometimes walk away without realizing that I left them on. I really don't want to kill my battery.

So I would like to have that DRL module, but hook it up to the fog lights instead of the parking lights. Is that doable?

What lights do you have for your high intensity led fog lights? I like them!

http://www.ez-motoring.com/EZ_Motori.../881_68smd.htm

They don't specify the actual lumens for their led's. The original 896 bulbs are 1800 lumens; but, the new led's I have to say seem to be twice as bright as the old 896 bulbs.

I really hate the DRL idea and almost never run with parking & fogs only on.
Rather I scan my path and mirrors in order to catch the azz-hole driver that I might/will need to avoid.
