Default 2004 battery terminal

My 2004 has battery terminals as shown in the picture below. I have lost the nut which holds down the terminal.

None of the parts stores have seen one! The GM dealer did find the terminal as a complete unit with the wiring harness (very expensive) but not possible to buy just the nut.

I have tried a nut and washer but it will not make a contact without the cone bottom.

HELP

Get in touch with Marc at VetteNuts. He sells used parts and may have one of those from a parted out car.

YEP,,, You MUST have that cone nut or its a NO GO! I agree,, Get a used part or make your own as recommended above OR purchase a NEW Cable.

Thanks for the suggestions.

My local GMC dealer has a great parts guy and he found out GM pickups used this style of connector too. So I went down to the local truck pick and pull yard. Within ten minutes had found two trucks and got 4 connectors for $5!!!????

Any one need one they are $25 each!!!!?????? Hey, I got my hands dirty and needed a pedicure???

Stephen
