Default $49 C6 Coupe Targa Top Wind Deflector Review

Hi,
I just got my wind deflector today.
Purchased at 2/3 and received at 2/6.
The wind deflector is made by plastic.
Not very solid but enough to handle its job. (feel a bit cheap )
But for only $49+$0 shipping cost, I wont say it is a con.

Here are installation steps:
1.Pull back the interior trim piece and slide the deflector in between the trim and the windshield frame.
2.Slide the deflector sideways as necessary to line up the holes in the windshield frame with the holes in the deflector.
3.Install the 10-32 bolts from the bottom through the windshield frame and deflector.
4.Attach the clamp **** finger tight.
5.Finished
Installation only takes few minutes!

It holds VERY well and won't vibrate while driving. Interior noise is reduced around 80%+.
Now you can wear you favorite hat without the targa top!

It stays in place even after 100MPH. However, the seller says "Not intended for use at speeds above 85 mph".
I think after 100mph, the strong wind might tear the interior trim apart.(not sure, just guessing).

Overall, for only $49, I highly recommend this product for everyone!

Does it do a lot for the wind beating you around ?

also it looks like you cant install the targa on top of this? you would have to take it off.. is that right?

no you cannot install the targa with the deflector installed. you will need to remove it and store it into the hatch.

I just ordered it, even though I haven't seen the Vette since I stored it before Thanksgiving. Not getting anxious, not me...

The deflector does peak the interest. It's hard to please everyone, but for the price, it's tough to beat.
I just wish that it was angled back some, instead of being at 90 degrees.
I may still be in the market, but the jury is still out..

The same seller had one listed that just slid into place, but im guessing in didn't stay because he no longer offers it. Thanks for the review. I will be buying one.

Just ordered one. Looks decent enough online. The one on eBay did have the holes for the mounting bolts after securing it behind the trim piece.

$49 vs others at $199...not bad We'll see...

Any updates on this product? Anyone have pics of installation? How is the performance? How about ease or hassle of install/removal?

411 PEOPLE ?!

Thanks!
