C7 ZO6 blown motor with 6 miles
I was kicked off the forum for making this public yesterday, the car had 6miles on it and not even a mile from the dealership started knocking, and died before I could pull over. I'm assuming my previous post was taken down and account was banned, because they think this is bs, I didn't believe it either when service tech told me, I have plenty of pictures and all the texts messages from my salesman when the car was delivered (dates to prove)
Ive owned corvettes all my life, I'm not on here to stir things up, simply sharing what had happened. I'm gonna try to post some screenshots from the messages and pics of car aswell, I thought I posted these in my first post but apparently not. Just Incase it doesn't work for me again, go ahead and text me and I'll send pics and whatever else 248-904-55eight8

You just might have some credibility going there esp. since you live in Michigan (per the two area codes). Wouldn't surprise me that a Chev team comes to look at that engine, or wants it back. Good luck with the car.

Serious question: Did it make any sort of noise before it let go? The only thing I could imagine causing that is not tightening down a bearing cap. If that was the case, it would have been screaming before it let go.

This is exactly what happened a few weeks ago with NorCalSS thread.
Absolutely. Do not take it back with a new engine unwind the deal just like NorcalSS did. Get yourself a new car:

I guess since this is at minimum the third blown LT4. Is GM is going to recall them all and replace the engines now just like Porsche did with their GT3s last year after 3 had engine fires.

Someone was in a hurry to head to lunch and forgot to tighten some bolts. Sorry this happened to you. I would not want that car back, too much money to spend to have that listed on your Carfax.

The data for all critical fastening operations is saved as part of a build profile for the engine. It would not be possible to forget to tighten anything. More likely there is some defective parts or bolts with improper yield strength. I hope this is not something which affects a lot of engines. As others have said you should be demanding a new car.

Isn't this supposed to be a friendly community of enthusiasts first?

If you don't care about resale or are just satisfied with a new engine, I'm sure you'll have no problems.
However, if you want a brand new car, you deserve one. I would not accept a new engine after a 6 mile failure. If you don't get a new car, I'd be very disappointed in GM.
As for the last thread being locked, I'm sure the mods have to go through enough trolls. Still, they should have given you the benefit of the doubt, and they owe you an apology. Even if you were "sounding like every troll before you" they should have asked for verification before banning an account. I'm sure whoever locked the thread is too conceited to do that though.

I was a mile down the road from the dealership, he came to take care of it getting transported, there was a bunch of traffic like I said in the text, and he insisted that I just left and he waited for the tow truck to get there
