This past weekend the Texas Mile was held in Beeville, TX. There has been a few posts on here already about the good speeds other Z06s ran including 1 over 200 MPH. My car is a bone stock C7 Z06 A8 with level 1 aero. I ran several passes over 180 with the best of the weekend of 184 MPH. This car keeps impressing me more every time I drive it. As mentioned in a couple of other posts, the stock level 2 and 3 cars were about 4-8 MPH slower on average. The C7 represented well this past weekend in Beeville. The trap speeds on the slip are the quarter, half, and the mile.
Thanks, Kevin. I don't know if I can sit idle on the sideline much longer and watch ya'll hit 190's, 200, etc as I try to chase 184.1.. I like the direction you are going with your car and very near future mod.

Congrats on the great numbers. 184 Bone stock is a Fantastic number.
Looks like you ran better in the 1/2 mile than when we were at Sulphur Springs. Would you attribute that to the weather, traction, or ?

Appreciate it. I saw a blue Z06 out there and thought it might be you but obviously was not.
Traction is not that great at Beeville but not quiet as slick as Sulpher Springs was last fall.
I felt like I was able to launch the car better this past weekend. More seat time since the last event might be a factor. I feel more comfortable with the car. Could be broken in more as well.
The car engine was cooler this weekend than when I ran at Sulpher Springs. The way they have the lanes set up at the Mile, you do not have to inch up every few seconds like the half mile as soon as you return to the line. You do not start creeping forward to the line until the entire lane is up next as they have like 6 or 7 staging lanes.
The air felt thicker on Saturday when I ran. I did not check DA, but it was good air for racing. The car felt happy.
