6 Great Aftermarket Wheels for the C6 Corvette (and 2 cool factory styles)

Rims are probably the first mod anyone makes to their car, and some times the only one. Here are 8 popular rim styles, including 2 variations of what the factory made, displayed on forum member's C6 coupes and drop tops.

1. Factory 5 Spoke Wheels - Chromed

Par35n5 posted this picture of the C6 on chromed factory wheels, which he owned ten years ago. It is a testament to just how good GM styling was back then that these wheels look as good as expensive aftermarket pieces. Another thing everyone can agree on, anything bigger than 20 inches on a C6 Corvette just looks wrong and cartoonish, unless you are just posing and not driving hard.

2. Fikse Forged Aluminum Profil Wheels

This convertible wasn't but a few week old when Wilkey1965 swapped out the stock wheels for Fikse lightweight, strong, forged aluminum rims from their Profil line. You may not have heard of Fikse Wheels, but you may have noticed they look a lot like the wheels used in FIA, American Le Mans, and Rolex sports car racing, which is because these are the same wheels.

3. Maya Black Wheels with Polished Lip

Black cars look especially good with a black wheel, accented by a polished lip, like these staggered 19/20 Maya rims on RobertBaldwinJr's car. Sure, you can use black wheels on any color car, but they look the best only with certain colors, like white, yellow, red, or the previously mentioned black.

4. Ronal Chromed Aluminum Rims

Ronal has been making rims as long as just about anyone, but these blinged out modular rims are not their traditional offerings. If you like things flashy, like AA2PR obviously does (he has these rims on 3 of his Vettes) then these are a really great choice. Why drive a Corvette and try to be understated?

5. Polished GM C6 Corvette Z06 Wheels

A very popular option for the C6 is the optional Z06 rim, seen here polished to a mirror like shine on STPH8N's Deep Sunset Orange Metallic car. These are actually Z06 replica wheels because the actual GM rims are wider than stock and stick out of the stock body enough to make them look bad, not to mention potentially rub.

6. iForged Machined Alloy Rims

For a raw, light, no nonsense performance look, it is hard to beat the look (and actual performance) of iForged. These rims on Vette-NV's car would look just as perfect on a C6.R on the race track.

7. Boyd Coddington Billets

If you love the classic look of a five spoke wheel, these traditional rims from Boyd Coddington have you covered. Seen here on a convertible belonging to forum member AFTERBURN.

8. HRE C22 gunmetal rims

The simple design of these HRE C22 rims, along with the gunmetal center, work together to give this Z06 an understated but purposeful look. DoingOK owns this car, which is just a festival of gray, silver, polished, matte, and glossy finishes. Yes, it looks fast, but it is also likely to blend into traffic and avoid the tickets a red car would get.
