2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition May Soon Be Available to Order, Finally

GM has lifted the wheel constraint that temporarily paused orders for 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition models.

2023 is a special model year for the Corvette, as it marks an even 70 years since the fiberglass wonder first launched. It’s been a rocky road full of highs and lows over the past seven decades, and that’s certainly true of current times, when the automotive industry has faced numerous production constraints. Ironically enough, those have also extended to the 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition, which has thus far been unavailable to order because its unique wheels are under constraint. However, according to GM Authority, that is no longer the case, which means that we may soon be able to order the 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition.

The staggered, forged aluminum, 20-spoke 19- and 20-inch Midnight Gray-painted wheels with red stripes – which are optional on the regular Stingray and standard on the 70th Anniversary package – are listed under RPO code Q9A and retail for $1,495. Regardless, GM was forced to put ordering on hold for this special anniversary package as the wheels were supply constrained early on, which was undoubtedly a bummer for a lot of folks.

Originally announced back in January, the 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition comes equipped with a host of unique touches including a choice of either White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic exterior colors and a few stripe options consisting of Satin Gray with White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat and Satin Black with Carbon Flash Metallic. Other features include 70th Anniversary Edition exterior badging with special Corvette crossflags and Edge Red brake calipers, while coupes will also include an Edge Red engine cover.

On the inside, the package includes a 70th Anniversary Edition logo on the seats, steering wheel, and sill plates, a rear bumper protector and trunk cover, and a custom luggage set with red stitching and 70th Anniversary Edition logo. The 70th Anniversary package is available on 2023 Corvette Stingray 3LT and Z06 3LZ  coupe and convertible models.
