Only one 1967 Corvette convertible was finished in Ermine White with a White and Bright Blue interior and the L71 big block.

With virtually every generation, GM produced Corvettes bearing some unusual, interesting, or unique combination of options or features, many of which are highly coveted collectibles today. While it may seem silly to those that aren’t automotive enthusiasts, these things make perfect sense to us, and we’re always intrigued to see the more obscurely optioned Corvettes that exist in this world, and there are plenty of them. The latest example is this – a 1967 Corvette convertible that’s set to cross the block at Mecum’s Glendale, Arizona auction, which takes place March 28-April 1.

This particular 1967 Corvette convertible may not look like anything more than a very nice example of a C2, but there’s far more to the story than that. In fact, it’s the only car built in this particular configuration – Ermine White with a White and Bright Blue vinyl interior, as well as GM’s L71 powerplant. Heck, we rarely see C2s finished in those colors, and the fact that this one has a big block underhood makes it that much more special to boot.

Following a frame-off restoration, this C2 looks better than new as well, and it also has a fully-documented 72,869 original miles on the clock – an impressively low total, indeed. The car comes with both a soft and hard top, though the latter piece is missing its padding and rear window, as well as a set of Kelsey Hayes bolt-on wheels with 1967 non-DOT Whitewall tires. The other non-original component present here is a set of headrests inside the cabin, which were added during the restoration.

Otherwise, this 1967 drop top retains most of its original components, including the tank sticker, Holley carbs, side exhaust, and spare tire. The 427/435 horsepower big block V8 is also original and numbers-matching, as is the close-ratio four-speed gearbox and 3.55-geared rear end.

As a testament to how special (and nicely sorted) this Corvette is, the owner has accumulated an impressive array of accolades including multiple NCRS Top Flight wins at the Chapter and Regional levels, to boot. Now, this rare slice of Corvette history is set to hit the auction block, giving someone a chance to bring home a car that is guaranteed to stand out at any show it attends.
