5. LT1 V8 2014 Stingray – 460 Horsepower
In 2014 the C7 Corvette was introduced. And the LT1 engine name was reintroduced. Albeit this time without a hyphen. With the dual mode performance exhaust this 6.2L V8 engine could make 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Performance was impressive. The car could hit 60 mph in less than 4 seconds and top out at over 180 mph. Remember this is the base Corvette. The slowest Corvette you could buy was now putting down performance numbers reserved for exotics not too long ago.
