I went from stock to Wilwood 2-piece and I like the change. The cost is a lot more though. Their setup is light, not just because of the aluminum hats. It does help with cracking a lot. I had DBA and they are fine if you can deal with a lot more unsprung weight. They are very heavy.

rotor is probably one part in the car where you WANT more weight

Don't ever say never. I've got some pieces of carbon left over from the B2 sitting in my garage. Dad worked for Northrop at the time, and he put me in touch with one of the composites engineers on the B2 project. He told me who to call at Ciba Giegy in Fullerton and when I gagged on the phone at the $10k min order and explained what I was doing (in HS, building an R/C car chassis) I got invited up for a plant tour, and handed a few big heavy bags of discards, aged out prepreg (that was still usable), honeycomb, release film, etc.

Was pretty awesome overall. You should have a kid call up hitco and beg

Look at the poll I set up with the thread as well as my first post

Regarding DBA pricing, I'd recommend contact KNSBrakes. I believe his prices for rotors are better than tirerack's, and the rings cost a lot less than whole.

We are very competitive especially to track guys who will consume pads.

The c5 DBA two piece weigh in at just under 19 pounds. Centric standards one piece are about 17.2 or so.

I have about nine track hours on the fronts
