HPDE - CVCC @Pocono
After having to cancel last year due to construction at the track, CVCC will be back at Pocono for a two day HPDE - May 26, 27.
This date is 3-4 weeks later than our usual dates at Pocono, so the weather should be pretty decent - in fact, I'm not even going to take my snow tires.
Since this event is under NCCC rules, a 2005 Snell helmet is required (SA or M) and a securely mounted 5lb extinguisher w/metal to metal clamp is required. All makes of cars are welcome.
Student w/instructor - $335, Intermediate (Instructors not assigned, but available) - $310, and Advanced (no instructor), $285.
I can answer some question, but for application or more information, contact Dave Walter david.j.walter@verizon.net
Hope to see some forum folks there!!

Do you have a sample layout of the course we would be running? Poc and WG are on my to do list. I did scratch Daytona off the list last year.

I can answer some of these questions on Dave behalf and follow-up on some others:
Mike
- Camping has never been allowed at any of our previous events at this venue, but I'll double check and confirm. (Confirmed - no overnight camping)
- Traditionally we have run the North Road course (clockwise). That gives us the NASCAR turn three part of the straight away, and then down into the infield road course
- Info on the host hotel are still being firmed up and pass that on as soon as it is available

Map and description from the Pocono Raceway site - at least it may help orient you.
Mike

Good event and many Vettes. I like the long course better but the North course is over 150 mph if memory serves me right. I would love to go back. Never got to into 56's few hundreds off new tires would do it for me I guess and the few new mods like rear glass out for plexi if I ever get it together totally. AND then the economy killing my business. You get to meet a bunch of nice people which is half the fun of most events.

CORRECTION:
Per NCCC rules the fire extinguisher needs to be a 5BC - NOT a 5lb BC (my error on the OP) - sorry for the confusion.
Reach out to Dave Walter (see above post) to get registered.
Thanks for your interest - see at Tech!
