I have a NOS Hardtop Rear Window for a 58-60 Corvette. It has a date code of M-9 AS-5. Can someone tell me what that decodes to? Thanks.

I looked through Corvette by the Numbers and could not find anything that made sense to your code. That year of window should have had a double letter date code. The "M" code is a model number designation. I could not find any reference for an LOF AS-5 rating for corvettes. Optional top plexiglass is an AS-4 and the early Vinylite is an AS-6, but no AS-5. Sorry.

My book shows logo is for month / year or M= February, 9=1959. So my guess is February 1959. All windows have AS-5 which I think is an Automotive Supply specification for a grade rating used in this time period.
