Default Need help with info on 54 Corvette with smoke damage from KY

OK I just brought in a sweet 54 Corvette that was in a warehouse fire around Louisville KY. It's a white car with interior and is mostly original, looks to be a numbers matching car. Somebody has to know something about this car, but I can't find anything out online. We wiped the car down and buffed it, not really any evidence of the smoke, but the paint job is very old and showing some age.

Email me at ssrcars@hotmail.com if you anyone knows anything.

I have this car priced at 45k, seems reasonable for what the market is right now.

Lots of good cars out there. Tough market without being crisp and fresh.

I've been waiting for you to show up here, I'd heard you'd bought a nice smoked '54!!!

Yeah i ended up buying the car, I've already got a few parties wanting to buy it. I'd like to keep it, but.... can't keep em all.

I am very close to Louisville. If you can elaborate, maybe I can find out something. Didn't hear anything on the news about it.

I didn't get any history on it, I know it was somewhere and recieved smoke damage. Car looks to be all original, has probably had one paint job a long time ago. I know the insurance claim was 70,000, but we didn't get any paperwork or anything. I have a historic plate number but I'm not sure what I get with that info. i hate to post it on the web.

haha, none are crisper than this one almost was for being about 90% original, 45k is cheap from what I've seen. My car blows away the one on ebay that's over 40k right now.
