Rereading an article in a October issue of Corvette Fever about a restored 1967 Corvette the text article by Scott Ross on page 21 that "For a little more than $105 on the sticker, a solid-lifter-equipped 350hp 327 was available in the 67 Corvette."
Anyone have a solid lifter original engined 1967 L79?

I believe it's a mis-print. The L79 was a hydrualic lifter engine that cost $105.35 more than the base 300 HP version. I don't remember and have never seen anything about a solid lifter version of the 327 being available in 1967.

1965 was the last year for solid-lifter small-blocks (the L-76 365hp and L-84 fuelie) until the LT-1 in 1970.

I remember reading an article in one of the car magazines on a road test on the new 1970 Z/28. In the description they stated that the new Z came equipped with a " hot hydraulic camshaft." My brand new Z in my driveway certainly wasn't equipped that way.
