Default Etown Corvette show and go. New look for my car.

This coming Saturday, July30 is Corvette day at Etown. We only do the drag racing. Although several cars do the "Show and Go". Easy to win show as there is little competition as compared to the show classes.

There are not too many cars in our drag classes compared to the newer cars. Every one loves the older cars racing. We should have several of the North Jersey Outlaws cars there. Flyer from 2009, I have nothing to do with this event. They just loved my car and I was given a special award in 2008.

Racing your car is the most fun you will ever have with it. With stock size tires, you should not break anything.

New look for 2011. Cold air ram and Thunder Bolt hood.

I hear some people have stepped up the competition. I hope we get to see some pictures next weekend.

Be safe.

Oh what a bummer, I'm going to be in South Jersey two weeks later than that! I use to run at Raceway Park in the late 60's.. Great memories there!

Nice T-bolt hood scoop.

At least you didn't get the bolt on version.

Fords rule!

Thanks guys for the compliments on the hood. I searched for about 6 years to find an original T-Bolt hood on an original hood. I saw it on Ebay and beat out another bidder by a few hours. Luckily, it was only an hour from me and a deal was struck.

The hood was pretty ruff when I got it. The guys at the Early Vette Shop did the body work and painted it. All they do is earlier generations corvette work. Top Notch all the way.

Really awesome looking!

Normally only see a tear drop type hood scoop on Fords and old 55 Chevy drag cars around here.

The view from the drivers seat has got to killer.

Is that the only change you made to the engine? Let us know how much the cool air helps.

Two other changes. I went from a dual plane air gap to a single plane Vic jr. And I installed a phenolic spacer. It will be hard to tell which change does what. I can easily disconnect the cold air rams.

Very, very nice. Love black cars, especially C1's. Must be one wicked view from the front seats looking over the tear drop scoop. First rate job of making it fit and looking like it was born with a tear drop. Beautiful.

Love your launch picture off the line. Way

Thanks, The car slows down at Etown in late July by 4-5 tenths each Summer, as compared to our Spring and Fall races that have nice cool, dry air. I would be over joyed if it that is diminished some what. I will try to get better pictures of the hood.

Your car has always impressed me! It's beautiful and fast. I look forward to meeting you and your car on Saturday.

Thanks guys. I do my best to entertain and educate those interested. When I did circle track back in the 80s, they called it the "show" .

I am hoping for a really good Et for this time of year. BTW, the paint is a 20 footer. I just figured out how to shoot it.
