Keep saving these old cars Dan. Great story. The SOLID AXEL CORVETTE CLUB would love this car. There is a very active chapter here in So. Cal that has about 150 members who all DRIVE their cars to functions weekly. I will send them this link for their newsletter.

The owner did drive it sparingly this summer. He has given me access to the car to drive in the summer. That seems more reasonable than going out and buying a C1, I guess.
The originality of this car is really quite unique. I'm glad that we just put a new heart and arteries into it when we did the work. We tried to leave everything else pretty much alone. It really cleaned up much nicer that I would have guessed, especially the chrome.
