Good luck with that.

We have just finished (2 days ago) the installation of a new standby generator system. The interminable power outages last winter all but wore out our older standby generator.

Good.
I remember 4 feet on Donner, I sat there 9 1/2 hours
There was only 3 inches there when some fool caused a big rig to jacknife.

My wife thinks I'm nut's, but a garage is never big enough!
NOAA says rain after 10 a.m. Good Luck

Were you starving when you got to Donner? I always tell my wife "lets stop at donner for a quick bite" as we drive through.

Ha, not this time. I learned about Donner my first year here(84) when I had to put chains on in a tee shirt in Sept.

Our office was in San Jose, so one trip per month, every month.
My "Donner Box" in the trunk always contains an old snowmobile suit, gloves, boots, shovel and backpack meals. I buy water and Cokes in Auburn even if it's just cloudy.

Really scary - towing a 24 foot race trailer with chains on the trailer over that hill.
