I replaced engine mounts and built a tranny mount for my ROD 6speed. I hope with all the knowledge on this great forum someone can tell me how to check the engine and tranny alignment side to side. I set the diff-tranny offset at 3 degrees but setting the tranny in the middle between the original tranny/frame mounts looks "wrong" Is the a measurement from the frame rails to the tranny certerline? I have 1 7/8" offset now. Help Needed Thanks for anything, Keith

If you have the transmission mount in the same cross-car location as the original, that's all you need; the midyear Corvette driveline was offset about an inch from centerline to the passenger side.
