The C3 speaker bar works fine for me, It's tucked behind the top when the top is down, yes you do lose some sound, but hey with the top down the wind is going to affect sound no matter what. Sound quality isn't bad and the cost approx. $90. it looks good and you don't lose any limited space.
What my 3/4” plywood jack board and 6” round Infinity speakers look like. They absolutely great, even at a high volume to hear clearly on the highway with the top down.
Hello CorvetteMikeB,
I was searching for c2 rear speaker installation ideas when I came across the photo of your custom rear panels and speaker. Would you share how you attached the speaker panels to the sides above the wheel well? It's a very clean install.

I cut & shaped a thin piece of wood. Glued the carpet to the wood. Used wood screws to attach the speakers to the wood board. A Lot of Velcro Tape to attach speaker panel to carpet.
Hello CorvetteMikeB,
I built speaker boxes that fit into the space aft of the wheel wells and mounted 6.5 inch speakers. The speaker face is angled, so the right side speaker points toward the driver seat, left side toward the passenger seat. I plan to paint the boxes to match the saddle tan interior then mount them using J hook type velcro patches and may produce a wood wedge that I can tap into place between the carpet and the bottom of the box to fill the small height gap . The final install is on hold because I was sent the incorrect paint.
Homemade plywood board covered with similar carpet with some Rockford-Fosgate 6x9’s. Speakers are covered from behind with some foam 6x9 acoustic speakers covers to protect them and improve sound. It’s no booming system but it’s cheap, relatively easy to build and far better than just the dash speakers.
