Another vote for Wells Cargo, I found this trailer used. It had a slated floor on the inside too match the ramp angle as you enter he trailer. Works really well, have no problems with bottoming out entering or exiting. Lots of storage under the ramp area on the inside.

Trailex is my recommendation, had mine for 5 years. It fits my C2s perfectly, and is big enough for my C3 too. It is light, 1850 lbs. or so empty, strong, has three side doors for easy access, and tows like a dream behind my Shelby F-150 or Raptor:

interesting concept... "I" would be a bit concerned about tieing down on a slope, but I guess they do it on commercial car haulers all the time

In case you are interested in annopen trailer. I am not affiliated with the seller. This is a good price. I habe a featherlite that is very similar.

I can tie down the car using wheel straps without having to even get into the trailer. Each side door is 7'10" Total length is 16' And no there is no shake

I bought a Hallmark 28' from a gentleman that bought it from the factory which he used to haul his entire household to Colorado - then he stored his stuff in it while he built his home - once completed he listed it for sale & I bought it.....

Drove the trailer to my insurance agent & put full coverage on it - the very next day we had a hail storm so after my insurance claim I have $1650 for a basically new 28' Hallmark enclosed trailer! My wife said if I trailer my corvette to an event & everyone is talking about my hailed out trailer that I need a nicer Corvette - LOL....

I use my trailer for lots of stuff & would never go smaller than a 28' it tows like a dream and has room for whatever ya need....

If it has not been said, install a winch to load and unload your car. There is nothing more annoying than dinging up your doors, trying to get in and out, after driving your car into the trailer

Even for dinged up stuff that I own, it still makes life a lot easier.

That is awesome, but getting pretty costly...

I'm thinking the Montrose is worth a look tomorrow (Montrose is only a few miles away)

I really like the height and weight of the Trailex, though, so that's a real consideration.

Thanks,

Mike

Just do your research. I had a neighbor buy a new aluminun trailer and in 6-8 months later several of the welds broke and he had to have them rewelded.

Default Store The Trailer Inside

I might suggest also if there's anyway you can...

...store your trailer inside. UV damage on the tires shortens their life, never have to worry about leaks, I dehumidify my space so there is no corrosion on unpainted metal surfaces, it's more secure etc. When I built my barn, I designed it with trailer storage space and made it only a few inches wider than the trailer itself so it doesn't take up much barn space.

Now that's a nice set-up! Love the building. Now....let's see what's inside the big door!

Very nice!

It'll be in here:

That's another reason that I don't want it bigger than necessary, so I can store it inside...

Thanks Pat.

Here you go...

And then in the other end of the area where I store my trailer, that's where I store all my...

...walnut and cherry cabinet grade furniture lumber.

My place is just a working barn, but yours is gorgeous! Yes indeed you don't want your trailer too big. Mine trailer is only 20' and that's plenty. It can haul cars as large as my '64 Impala when I take it drag racing.

My Wells Cargo is a ‘98 model, pulls great, no leaks, etc. The outside paint has streaks, is thin and faded and needs to be painted. While it’s tempting to paint a mural of your car or something cool, it makes better sense to me to paint “Joe’s Plumbing” or “Jim’s Cabinet Shop” to deter thieves. Also, if you could find a sponsor, you might get it painted for free!
Just a thought...

Not all of us are independently wealthy. Some of us just barely have a shoestring budget.
