Hi,

I am thinking of buying a C2 project car that currently has a hardtop only. I was wondering if all C2s have the internal framework to accept a conv top frame?

I am going to say yes. If it has a removable hard top, then, it was made as a convertible...with the option of having a hard top. The convertible top could be deleted, but the internal frame work and anchor points would have been installed as part of the fiberglass / birdcage at the factory.

look for the mounting plates in the sidewall of car behind seat.

The folding top was included in the base price of a convertible. But you could order a car with a hard top only with NO folding top. But all 63-67 folding top frames will interchange And all cars have the mounting points for the top

Dan, if you are in the market for a top, assembled or otherwise, you might want to give Clint at Coffman Corvette a call. He's an authority on these tops and can let you know everything you'll need to add the top. He may even have what you need.

I'm thinking of jumping into a C2 "project".
{I swore I'd never do another one again}.
Anyway, I'll probably be retiring soon and need something to keep me busy.
