Default Assembly Line Pictures

Someone posted a series of amazing pictures of the original C-2 assembly line some time ago, and I am sorry to say dumb me did not save the link.

Would someone PLEASE provide that link? I did a search, but did not find the thread.

THANK-YOU!

Cheers,

Richard

No one remembers these wonderful pictures on the Forum?

No administrators remember them?

Surprised!

Love factory pictures. We can see the C2 was not an easy build, no fat guys on that assembly line, and safety equipment, we don't need no stinking safety equipment!

Check out the GM Photostore
While their intent is to sell reprints, you can also save images digitally.

Did you happen to notice, in the film, that the FI engine is being dropped into a Z06.

Thanks, guys! Great pics.

Still did not see the ones someone put on here a while ago that was a series of black and white ones that really stuck in my head.

@woodsdesign Were those you saved from that earlier thread by any chance?

Anyway, appreciate the help. Should anyone find that series of pics, please post.

Cheers!

Rich
I don't know if this is what you are recalling but I have attached PDF versions of three NCRS seminars that John Hinckley presented at the NCRS National in 2011.. Lots of black and white early photos as well as color photos of various things.

Yes, I think the last one ( in black & white ) was from a previous thread. Not sure about the other ones. Glad you guys liked them.

Man! Look at the guys in the paint shop! No masks in sight. Imagine 8 hours a day spraying Enamel all day. I wonder if any of that group is alive today? Things were so much more physical back then. I did notice a lot of automatics. I didn't think there were that many produced. Great history and fun to looks at. Thanks for the show.

It was lacquer, but yeah, same safety and environmental issues.

Gosh, very labor intensive. The holes for the nametag drilled with a hand drill for example.
