Cannot downshift into 3rd from 4th, yet can shift from 2nd to third. When I do shift from second to third once it goes into third it clicks....any ideas where to start to fix it? :cheers:

Years ago, I was unable to DOWN SHIFT from 3rd to 2nd, but had no problem UP-shifting. Repair was accomplished when synchronizer(s) in the Tranny was replaced. I'm no mechanic...just apparently had the same problem. :sad:

I have a T-10 you can borrow if you need it while you rebuild yours.

It is alot easier to upshift then to downshift. In my 1930 ******-Knight great 6 it has NO syncros and I can upshift without any problems without grinding gears, but on the down shift it is alot harder to do without grinding due to the greater speed difference in the two gears that are being engaged.
You either have a worn or cracked syncro on that gear.

Have you tried raising the RPM when you are down shifting? When you get the shifter in the gate, raise the rpm and it should almost fall into place.
