Default [Corvette Show Pix] FLOOD CITY CORVETTE CLUB

On 10 June, the Flood City (Johnstown, Pa.) Corvette Club held their 1st-of-3 summer Friday evening Shows/Cruises, at WATKINS Chevrolet, in Boswell, Pa.:
80crabvette, C3 Tim, and I arrived in mid-event, while ranger101 led the way a few hours earlier that evening.

As we got 10 miles from the dealership (approx 40 miles away from our homes), the road became very wet, and with-in 5 minutes, we were engulfed in a torrential downpour of epic proportions, as the animals and wild-life paired-up.....

C3 Tim and I went ahead thru the heavy rain, while 80crabvette found an abandoned car-wash and 'hid' form the rain, fearing hail and downed trees.....

Once we all arrived (safely), it continued raining for about 30 minutes, by which time, many cars had begun leaving the event, but the sun came back-out around 7:30 PM, and I got a (very) few pictures you may enjoy seeing.

1960's-style hot-rod C1:

An office-holder of the FCCC owns this '69 L-46 rag-top:

(P.S...... tell me again, WHO'S idea was for this Show to be 'rain-or-shine'?????)

a nice 427 braved the weather:

and this 454 had "for-sale" on the windshield:

With so few cars still there when we arrived, and the fact that I'm a sucker for '58-'71 Impalas, I took a pair of pictures of these examples
(these events are hosted BY the Johnstown group, but are OPEN to all custom cars:
Corvettes are parked separate
)

a pair of '63 Imps, and the following '66 convertible:

An very stunning Red-and-White '59 Imp left before I could get a picture taken.....

The FCCC hosts 2 more Shows this summer, 8 July, and 5 August, and with free entry, FREE food, and nice people, our gang will attend those Shows as-well.....

IF it doesn't rain again!!!!!

Cool that you stuck it out to make the show. Looks like nice place to have a car show with the big parking lot.

No pix of the Boss Hoss trike that was there, with it's 606", 640+ HP big-block Shiverlay.

Next Saturday, the 3 of us are hitting another Car Cruise/Town Fair-type thing.....

IF IT DOESN'T RAIN!!!!!
