wildman, whatever makes you happy The Proteam cars that you linked to in your earlier post were all 1969 model year cars. The expansion tank useage was different in 68 and 69. You cannot use a 69 car to determine what was originally on a 68.

The funny thing is, as I mentioned earlier, I also have a correctly dated expansion tank in my 1968 L-36. But I also have a radiator with a radiator cap, and based on my research I have concluded that the expansion tank does not belong there and was probably added by a previous owner.

I wasn't referring to the proteam cars, proteam didn't have any 68' l36's they only had a 68 l88 on there so thats y I posted the 69's but now know 69's had them for sure. I'm talking about many cars on ebay and barn finds I've looked at over the past couple days on the net.
