I was involved with a Corvette shop back in the late 60,s early 70's and we did a dozen or so Mako kits on C-3s. Even some station wagon kits. At the time Corvette owners were expressing themselves through their Vettes.
Candy Apple paint, multi colored pearl Ribbon paint work. Even used acetylene for smoke effect.
I know a guy who owns one of the Vettes we did and he tells everyone it is a Motion car.
If it wasn't built by Motion. It is NOT a Motion Vette.

What do you call a Vette built with Motion Phase III body parts from the Motion catalog?

If you bought the parts from Motion, you can call it a cataloge car, if not, it's a clone.

Lol.....I call a car built from Motion parts a "custom" because Motion didn't build their parts their bought them from others like Ecklers or Brunos or took molds off parts and had it farmed out of house,
If you use parts bought from pepboys to build your vette is it a Pepboys store car?

If I bought the GT rear clip from Motion or Ecklers makes little difference if I do not have documentation and even that doc's only count to a select few.

Post for sale documented Motion car people go wild post a Documented Silva car people yawn.
Because Motion "the seller" got famous and in the spotlight and Silva the designer creator didn't the true documented Motion cars fetch the high dollars to people with more money than sense, ( IMHO )

I see too many customs called "Motion" when they are not.

One cool thing is I am the owner of the last documented Mako front clip sold by Motion,
And it doesn't matter a hill of beans to me....a part is just a part.

Did you ever buy the car? If not is it still around? I had a neighbor that bought one came with overdrive and a 650hp 427. It was the most awesome car I have ever seen. I got to ride it in one day and was hooked.
