Default Park-Brake Console spacer question

Hey folks,

I'm trying to get the interior back in my '76 after 3 years!! I can't remember how the spacer for the park-brake console attaches. It looks like it has clips on the back side that attach to something but I don't see how that is possible....

Thanks,
Tab

Hey Tab-

It clips over the inside edge of the shifter console.

Let me see if I have a picture and I'll post right back.

Wow thanks for that ! Yesterday I also had both parts in my hands and was wondering where it would clip on the parking brake console lol. Never assumed it had to go on the gear shift console !
Great help again,
Nick

Dembo -- order an assembly instruction manual (AIM) from Willcox. They're worth the cost.

Mike is right! http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...ducts_id=25573

There is no shipping on this and if purchased separate! If the site charges you, sales will edit it off.

Thanks!!

I doubt I would have figured that one out!

I probably should have ordered a AIM like Mike suggested... maybe later.

Thanks again,
Tab

Interesting. That spacer attaches to the parking brake console instead of the shifter console on a 70.

I have the console out of one of my cars right now, so I had the shop take some pictures.

I think this is a better picture than the one from the AIM so I changed it on the site.

Very strange but as Ernie shows it's right, I do have the AIM but for the 74 it's definitly showing a wrong install (to the park brake console)

I figured it was time to put something up that showed clearly how this item was installed. We sell it and get questions all the time. Now when they buy it, they will know how the item installs before hand..

This is out of my 70 w/77k miles. Now if I could just find the time to finish the car..
