Fram is junk, living off early reputation. I use Wix or K&N.

I believe that this is true.
BUT, can anyone document a catastrophic engine failure attributed to to cheapo Fram?
I don't buy the cheapo Fram because years ago I had a Bronco II that I didn't drive much. After a oil change and new cheapo Fram, the valves would clatter for a while on start up, after sitting for 1+ wk.
Cheapo anti drain back valve. I read that this could be the problem, and changed to another brand. Problem solved.
So, for many/most daily drivers, any brand will do.
Of course, there are better filters, but where to you draw the line?
I think I generally pay $6-8 depending on brand.

Wow! A double resurrection! From 2012 and then from 2019 - way to go guys! I'm sure this is a new record.
