Stinger hoods on C3's; Calling for Pics

Shopman1 paint scheme
The car will be painted in Mag Red a 3 stage paint, love that red. The stinger hood will be done in black with pin stripes. The top of the stinger hood will have smoke rolling to the back. The sides of the vette will have a skull with his mouth open down low in the cove with smoke coming out of the mouth going down the lower side of the car. There will be no bagging it will all be done with stencils and airbrushed. When thats done it will all need to be cleared. The fire wall is done close to mag red with skull ghosting.

82 corvette with Ecklers stinger hood
Did you have any problem with the hood hitting the a/c line? I did and I am now looking at trying to lower the a/c compressor by modifying the mounting bracket. Any suggestions?

No problems with that at all. The mount was low and the Air was after market not the stock Vette.

I'm contemplating adding a stinger hood on to my 75, and have been for sometime. I was wondering if those of you who have them would be kind enough to post a few pix and discuss the pros and cons of the modification. (eg. Do the Ecklers hoods for the year you have fit well? Or how is the visibility compromised? Did you make your scoop functional? or Is it just for show?)
As always, many thanks in advance.

Shopman1 03 Vette Stinger Hood
Ecklers hood was nice, very little work to make it perfect. Now, on my car, the fenders were high nest to the hood. I had to detach the inner fenders from the
fenders and lower the fenders a bit and reattach the inner fenders to the fenders to get it just perfect.

I actually gained clearance.
This stock 69 had a scoop added and it's functional, so I have about 2 extra inches in height under the cut out. The current air cleaner is not shaped to fit, but it fit under the stock hood anyway.
