Default Parts

Found my old forward crossmember and tossed it in with the original horse shoe. It definitely looks better. But still not perfect. I bet the bumper is in fact twisted on the passenger side.

Kind of annoying as the first crossmember was a reprising. Which means my original is bent or has something wrong. Or the reproduction doesn't fit as well as it should...

Default Update

I've been dormant for a while. The car was dropped off at my painter some time ago. I would do check ins to Soo how it's going take pictures etc. I finally have a picture or two that gets me excited.

We are officially in primer..

Default Yep

I still need to get a chance to get out there and see it close up. But I'm pretty excited to see some progress that feels tangible

well here's my official update from the painter. It definitely is costing more than I thought it would. I'm not done yet!. do ake note of my super not rusted windshield frame.

That's certainly a bright spot. Amongst other things.

It's definitely a longer process than I expected. But I'm excited about what's coming next.

Default I like it

I spent way too much on fixing the wrong car. I should have waited for a 68 with a tank sticker and original block so I wouldn't be so upside down. But I expect the sticker shock goes away at first turn of the ignition.

Default So...

So where do I start once I get this thing back? Start at the back work forward? Start with wiring and middle and work back? Front to back?

I'm trying to stay away from body stuff cause I don't know how long I have to let the paint "cure" to be safer to work on.

I would make a list so you can keep track of what you have checked. check all your systems to see what does work and what doesnt work. Then start checking the wiring from the headlights to the fire wall, from the tail lights to the cabin, then the interior. If it was molested by rodents i would suspect they would eat the exterior lines first. If you check your systems functions it will give you an idea what else could be wrong.
