Looking for pics of the trim panels and how they mount on early 68 convertible. I have the tabs on the rear wheel wells and at the base of the door. Just looking to see what parts I will need. Thanks.

You will need the two steel trim pieces- short curved one at top and longer flat one at bottom- that come primer and you paint to match your color. This is a convert. Coupe is a little different. The small chrome trim screws thread into the black plastic interior panel and squeeze the panel to hold it in place. Disregard the door alignment wedge that is installed incorrectly.

Hi RR,
R's description is right on.
I'll only add that the small chrome plated screws that mount the interior trim panels are a machine thread which is a bit unusual for an interior trim part.
Because of this there are threaded metal 'inserts' imbedded in the plastic trim piece. On used trim these 'inserts' are sometime missing which makes figuring out how the trim piece is mounted a bit puzzling.
There are repair kits available for replacing the missing 'inserts' making the trim panels usable.
Regards,
Alan
This is obviously a coupe picture; but maybe it might help in some way.

RR- here is the convert interior. Not as clean as Alan's, but it might help. The switch is not stock. It controls two lights in the back cargo area. I also have two extra metal trim pieces for the passenger side. PM if interested.

RR- I almost forgot. When I got the car, the PO had glued several pieces of wood to the plastic interior trim and then used wood screws to hold the metal trim pieces in place. Bubba liked wood.
