Default Goodbye ‘79

I guess this is my last post on these forums for now. Sold my black ‘79 to someone who can tame her and restore her true charm.

It was a fun, thrilling ride while it lasted. Lost [a little more than] some money, earned some experience, had some headaches, enjoyed many drives.

She was quirky alright. I enjoyed how the old exhaust made her sound. But her electrical gremlins scared me.
I think the car is now in the hands of someone who deserves her and can maintain her. I certainly enjoyed owning my dream right out of college with no car experience whatsoever, but now with a husband and baby and new house it’s time to move on. Onto greener pastures...or technically waters...time to get a little jet boat for my family to enjoy together!

Thanks for reading my farewells

Best of luck as your life moves forward.
Just know this. You'll be back once the bug hits again later in life....

Kids don't grow up telling stories about mom owning a jet boat. They tell stories about mom owning a Corvette. Now do the right thing and buy another Corvette.

I sold my first one when the kids started arriving. Started up again once they were in high school. Now the kids have all grown up and moved out, so plenty of parking for my vettes. Good luck, hope you enjoy the boat as much as the vette, or maybe more!

Good Luck as you and your family drive along on the road called Life. As one of the many old guys on the Forum, we can all remember a special car, the one we should not have sold. Anyway, enjoy your family, and make sure you keep some pictures of the old Vette. My wife found a few photos of my 68 Camaro which I keep framed in my garage, of course my other cars are a little jealous.

good luck in the next chapter of your life. I gotta say, I love the car, but I might be a little biased.
