I see it's already done but in case is should come up in the future, I've used my 79 many times for the youth football homecoming parade, and the kids were high school freshman age. I'd take the passenger seat out and let the king and queen stand while a took them for a parade lap around the field. Worked perfect. No way I'd let anyone sit on the deck lid, for fear of it cracking.

Jack Nicholson wasn't worried about it. My wife and I have both sat on top of the roof at the same time. It's made to be strong which is very helpful in a roll over should that ever happen.
