My garage is about 20’ wide and 23’ long.
The back wall has our water heater, washer, dryer and side by side refrigerator.
I built shelves on both sides for storage of parts, camping gear, tools and all the other necessary life stuff.
So I really have floor space of 20’ x 16’ which is not big enough and I could use a third bay.
I would add the addition but we are only 6’ from the side property line and I can’t build out any closer to the street.
I’m ready to buy a little property, build a new house and have a bigger garage.

.. I feel your confinement. I went from four bays to one when we moved to care for my parents. I do have my two post lift in my 12'x26' bay tho. Thats my only way to get stuff done at home. I enjoy elbow room.... Fortunately, if I needed, I can do projects at work.
.
. ( I'll share a pic work shop if ya think it would be appropriate ).........

Go ahead, I think I had a pic of mine at one point, its 21 x 16 I believe..work benches down one side, shelving on the other and tool boxes, work station and the heater on the front. I want to widen it into the open bay side a bit so I can gain another 6 to 8 inches which would be great for openinng the drivers door. And also make a small alcove, entry way that would bump out the entry door and give me access into a small side area...
,,, I located a couple pix while detailing wife's '02 last summer. Most recent on my phone I could locate easily..
. Bench and tool boxs on one side. Just enough room to play at home. 👍

THese pics are from last summer
You can see the front of the garage and its definitely crowded
I'll get a better pic later
I spent an hour after work yesterday and again today fiddling with my center carb. The one that I was using was a beat up core that I called my Franken carb, Ive molested the crap out of it modifying it and experimenting with it by addition of a Holley bolt on electric choke and adjustable air bleeds. It worked but it was really beat up. I have some much better carbs but I dont want to ruin them incase I ever want a nice unmolested set to put back on.
But This past summer I got a chance to grab a new center carb for the small block set up that Holley just started selling for its small block setup. Its a 325 cfm but the base plate is too narrow and doesnt have the correct throttle arm I need for my progressive linkage. I wanted to mod it so I can use the bolt on choke and have new body to mod. I was able to get the old throttle base plate on and just had to adjust the choke arm and shim out the choke housing so it would fit without impinging on the throttle blade axle. I have to trim a bit off of the base as well but it will work perfectly, I will add pics tomorrow

Love the garage pics....its nice to see garages that people work in. Having heat is sooooo nice. My buddy scored me a furnace from a moblie home and it pumps out a lot of heat for a small garage. At work they were doing a fuel oil experiment and when it was over i said i would dispose of it. I got nearly 200 gallons of diesel and the same in kerosene. Im all set for this winter and some of next year...it saved
Sorry guys, when my garage gets down to 59, I plug in my 750/1500 watt freestanding electric heater from Costco.
It keeps my garage in the low to mid 60’s on our coldest days.

the reason I like the oil is that I can set a thermostat and walk a way. Right now it stays at 60 degrees when Im gone so I can bump it up to the higher 60s...( maybe 70 on the really cold days) easily and quickly when I get home from work. When Im not working out there for extended periods of time I drop it to about 55, that keeps the paints from freezing and anything else that might not do well in freezing temps...I have a pellet stove in the basement of the hose and that is a nice dry heat to keep the winter cold mold from growing on everything, but that is about the same as the oil heat for cost but I have to clean it every 3 days and also have to pour in 1.5 to 2 bags of pellets everyday...

Heres my now very messy and stuffed garage...
The car is about a foot from the back door, once its on the floos its only a few inches from the door.
I got my 6-32 helicoils in yesterday. I tried just tapping the brass air bleeds just in case and the just spun and i was able to pull them easily. The remaining hole was perfect for the helicoil so i tapped it and set the helicoil in with red loctite.
I need to find an small screw driver that i can put those tiny air bleeds in with without dropping them. Once they are set it wont matter
This is the spacers needed for the choke to fit...3/8 would fit but they only had 1/2 but it actually works better for the high idle lever The old presses in air bleeds The new helicoil
I walk out into my attached two car garage right now here in NJ and it is 36*(F for Doc).
At least it's better than the 29* outside LOL.
(That's only because I have it insulated!)
I run my electric or propane heater and it eventually gets up near 50* or so.
And aim the electric at my feet.
Toasty enough to work barehanded with a coat on!
Rescue are those adjustable air bleeds you are adding?
You going to do some more carb tuning?
