Shocks
Obviously the shocks are not for you, I think your 1/2 right, if your looking for a good race shock whether it be drag racing or oval track the technology has surpassed those of earlier years but you will still pay $ 3-500 a adjustable shock. If you are attempting to restore a car nothing beats an original shock that were made in USA and that maintains the ride height as the car left the factory.
You could purchase Delco shocks from a supplier that were either made in mexico or china for a fraction of the cost but now your car will look like it is ready for some off-roading. I believe the price of my shocks is fair, I do not see a large inventory of these original shocks. The shocks will sell one day to the right buyer.
You mentioned you purchased some shocks for a 78 for 500 that’s great but it’s still a 1978….
