Default How Do You Remove Shoulder Harness

I want to send my seat belts out for repairs but am having a problem figuring out how to get the shoulder harness through the bezel at the top of the seat. Is there a trick to this? I am sure it is very simple but I am at a loss.

If I understand you correctly. Pull the plastic trim molding off of the door pillar and remove the other end of the belt from the rewinding mechanism.

Have you removed the plastic web stop?

Heat it up with a heat gun to soften it a bit and pull it off. You also have to turn the belt UPSIDE DOWN to get it through the bezel in the seat back.

Yes, or dip in a bowl of hot water to soften the plastic.

The web stop is there to prevent exactly what you are trying to do: stop the belt from being pulled through the seat molding passageway.

Thanks for the information I will try the heat gun trick tomorrow. This forum is a treasure trove of information.

Be careful not to melt them. It doesn't take much to soften them enough to pull them over the buckle.
