Default comments on edelbrock quadrajet

found a new in box edelbrock quadrajet. not a r.p.m model. did these get any improvements over an emissions version factory Carb related to circuits not as lean ETC?

Google which carb you have to get specs. The Edel QJets are great carbs. You probably have to richen the primary side, as they tend to be lean. The RPM models are not lean... Leave the secondaries alone.

I have the correct edelbrock emissions model for my 80 and ran great out of the box on my ZZ4 motor. Even on dyno no issues with lean mixture. I should have bought another one at the time. Quality is very good.

Would like to find an RPM version.

Same thing as a rochester version. Edelbrock bought the tooling from them.

I bought one new about 12 years ago, and it still runs great. I have a 1901 model and it was good out of the box. What part number is it? It should be 190 something, 4-digits.

well, after a couple weeks of use it runs nice. I'm wondering if some fine tuning might help.

Maybe a fine tuning to make sure the secondaries are opening all the way?
