1976 4-speed Numbers Matching Original 50k miles. Great Condition
For sale I have a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette. This car is a true survivor with only 50,xxx all original miles. The car is all original aside from the bumpers which were replaced due to cracking with the original rubber and the rear mufflers were replaced sometime in the late 70's. The car runs and drives great with the 4-speed transmission shifting great. Only 18% of Corvettes made during this year came equipped with this transmission. The interior is in Awesome shape with the only blemishes being on the door panels where the leather has cracked (Replacement panels for this included). The seats are incredibly mint and the dash is clean and crack free.
The exterior is dent, ding, and rust free. Older vehicles painted with a single stage paint often experience oxidation in the paint, and this vehicle is no exception. This being said the car still looks great and I am in the process of recondition the paint to the best it can be. Being all original and garage kept it does have a few chips and such, but nothing too bad. All seals including windshield, rear window, and T-Top are in great shape and do not leak an ounce. The car has a chrome luggage rack on the back that is not pictured because I took it off to work on the paint. The glass is all original as well with not cracks or chips.
The motor Runs excellent and being completely original and numbers matching is actually quite rare. The transmission shifts great through the original Hurst Shifter.
The only bad things would be that the rear brakes could stand to be done. They are not terrible, nor do they squeal at all, but I am just a little picky. The emergency brake handle surround has broken in half, but this may get fixed if I have the time. Not the dash piece. just the little black plastic that moves with the handle. Also, if you do not like being stared at then this is certainly not the car for you since it does nothing but turn heads.
This car only had 2 owners previous to me, and has been garage kept for over 20 years at least if not longer. The car come with all of the original manuals and a TON of receipts and paperwork dating back to original purchase.
