Default Monza Mufflers

Since I have decided to keep my 91, I'm going to be doing some different things to it. I'm not really impressed with the Flowmasters that I put on it. Has anyone installed these Monza mufflers that all the big catalogs advertise? They sure look good, but how do they sound?
I'm not really looking for a "glass pack" sound, but a deeper "throatier" sounding exhaust would be ok.
Feedback would be most appreciated! TIA

I had a set and junked em by accident. I liked the sound, yeah, they are just glasspacks.

Now, a glasspack on a chevy pickup with exhaust leaks, and monzas on a vette don't sound alike though.

I have a sound clip, but you can't hear the exhaust over the tires burning. No measureable resonance though. Glass packs don't resonate, performance mufflers do.

I've got a set on mine now. As CentralCoaster said, they are basically just glasspacks. The sound is nice, but toward the end of long drives, I always promise myself I will get real mufflers.

They sound way better than Corsas, for 1/10th the price.

...had them on my 85 - at around 1700-1800 rpm (65-70 mph) they resonate like hell. took them off and installed a set of ultraflows, and same resonance. ended up putting on a set of aftermarket stock mufflers. just couldn't stand the noise -

I just installed some muffler eliminaters from MAD and really like them. Mines a '90 and I did the whole system new. Front y-pipe without precat, freeflow cat, rear y-pipe with crossover and muffler elims. They're not too loud,,,,,,, eh, what did you say,,,,,?
Just kiddin, they have a real deep tone and no resonance.
