I had a great buying experience all due this forum. I found a car in Georgia (I live in Florida) and wondered how I was to check it out without spending money on multiple plane flights. Well I first asked you guys if anyone was in the Atlanta, GA area and one guy in the area told me to post about the actual city since it was 1 hour north. I did that I got a hold of Stan and David.
They said they would help me out and set up an appointment to look at the car for me. I found out later that David had quite a bit of Corvette experience and was a certified mechanic with years of experience. David took his scan tool and checked out the car completely.
After hearing from David and Stan how great the car was I decided to fly up and purchase the car. Stan picked me up at the airport and drove me an hour to see the car! He then drove me to the dealership where David worked to put it on the lift to inspect it again for the drive home to Florida. All this because they are simply Corvette enthusiast. They did not change me a fee or anything!! They are both great guys that just wanted to help in my first Corvette purchase and hope that someone would do the same if they needed help.
Stan and David made it an absolute pleasure for getting my first Corvette!! I would have never dreamed that someone would be so helpful!
Thanks Stan and David for all the help!

That is a great story. I am so impressed with their unselfish and giving attitude and Corvette spirit. I dont know Stan or David F. Personally, however David F is a longstanding forum member that can be counted on for great mechanical/technical advice. He has a reputation among the membership for being an authority. I doesnt hurt that he works with Atlanta's most popular and desirable Chevy dealership, Tom Jumper in Sandy Springs! I am truly taken away by their genorousity and good will. Way to go guys! I know where to take my Vette in Atlanta when it needs professional help do you?

That was a way cool cool thing to do. Last year I had the pleasure to meet a fellow forum member (C3 forum) from Australia he was down in my area and I took him out to lunch he was a great guy and it was nice meeting a fellow vetter from across the world. Seems that most car folks will help other car folks out I know I would and its nice to hear stories like that. Congrats on your new car.

I do not know Stan or Dave but i too would like to thank them for being generous and giving people. This type of fellowship is another reason that owning a Corvette is such a great experience. This was really nice to hear. Thanks guys!

I had a very similar experience as Eric. I was looking at a Grand Sport in Anderson, South Carolina, but I live in Miami.
I posted for some help and got some great responses. Bottom line is that a CF member looked at the car for me, and Iflew up a week later and bought it.
There is nothing like the help of a fellow forum member.
I hope I can return the favor some day.
