Trying to locate cooling fan relay on 1984 Corvette. I know where the switch is in the block. Can not find relay even in the FSM ?

Try under the booster -

in the FSM 8A-8 for an image that's on page 8A-15 I believe. Cooling fan wiring diagram 8A-149 and the component location should follow the diagram.

It is near the battery but a little below on the left inner fender wall (not sure if that is correct term). If you don't see it send me an email to docwilcar@hotmail.com and I will send you a pic of the location!

You responded to a 4 year old thread. The guy probably has found his relay by now. Maybe even sold the car and he doesn't care.

You probably got caught by "Related Threads" if you scroll down too far in a current thread and don't pay attention to the date of the thread you're responding to. Personally I find related threads suggestions useless. You can turn them off. User Control Panel (in the header bar)> Settings and Options, Edit options> Scroll down to Thread Display Options, > Related Threads, click the radio button Disable Related Threads. Now you won't get caught in a sour case of thread-necro.
