These were repro chromed ones on my '96.

I had a set of original painted Z06 wheels, but don't have pictures of them when they were on my white '94.

I sold both the repro set and the painted set. Now I have a set of the '04 commemorative edition polished Z06 wheels, but I put them on my C5 for a while. I might try them on my C4 this year (who knows?).

I love those wheels.
A local guy has a set, I messaged and I'm now waiting for a reply...

Those and the old rallyes are the only decent looking vette wheels. They look great on the c4 .
If the offset didnt require spacers Id run them on my a body when the mood for curvy roads hit.

I'm saving up right now for a set of the chrome Z06 repros. Only this is I have to get new rotors and the paint the calipers first so the new wheels aren't offset by ugly internals.

If you can I'd suggest getting nice condition used Real C5 Z06 wheels (speedline) they are lighter and stronger than repo's, its your call though.
Put some C5 or C6 brakes behind them and they'll reall look at home on your car!

I thought these wheels which were on my car when I bought it were Z06 wheels but they're not the same as yours. I guess I need to lean more.

Your not wrong Rusty those are Z06 wheels. They are C6 Z06 wheels, and they look nice on your car 👍

The wheels primarily discussed in this thread are C5 Z06 wheels.

Yep, those are C6 style Z06 wheels. I had 17” black C6 repros with a red stripe on an 88 I used to own. Personally, on a C4, I think the C6 style looks better than the C5 (YMMV). Here’s my old 88. In fact, now that I’m looking at them again, I might have to get a set of these for my new (to me) 94 Torch Red coupe.

I wondered about the C5 vs. C6. I do recall the wheels on my car WERE Speedline with "GM" cast in. I sold them and went back to the stock wheels, which the PO had with tires already mounted.

The problem I saw, that prompted me to get rid of them, is the tires mounted on those C6 wheels were rubbing at all 4 corners and I didn't like the boy racer look of the rear tires sticking out past the wheel wells.

Sorry if I took this thread in the wrong direction. I'll bow out with a view of why I didn't like the C6 wheels on my C4.

I may have kept them if not for the fact that, as I pointed out in my reply to DMITTZ's post, they all rubbed (I had shiny spots in all 4 wheel wells) and they hung out in the rear. If they fit like the ones in your pics I'd probably have kept them - even though I tend to be a stock kind of guy.

Ya i'm not sure about the weight of C6 Z06 wheels, but I think they are a bit heavier than the C5 Z06 wheels. The specs for OEM C5 ZO6 wheels are:

Front 17×9.5 - 54mm offset - 19lbs (speedline)
Rear 18x10.5-58mm offset - 21lbs (speedline)

The oem offsets of C5 Z05 wheels works very well for late C4 suspension (88-96) and doesn't stick out like the C6 versions do. The oem C6 ZO6 wheels have a different offset that puts them farther outboard since they were meant for the wide body C6 Z06.

I personally choose to use the 18x10.5 all around on my car with a square 315 setup. I had to massage the front suspension a bit to get those big wheels and tires to tuck in like stock on the front, the rears tucked in nicely with no mods. I like the C5 ZO6 wheels due to thier light weight, looks and reasonable cost.

Modded front suspension:

Those wheels fit very well DMITTZ. If those C6 wheels had fit like that on my car it would have been a more difficult decision to get rid of them. When I pulled them off I found these spacers on the rear. They didn't go with the wheels because the guy buying them was putting them on a C6.

Yep, a big spacer will definietly make them stick out further. Just curious would the rear wheels fit ok without the spacers or did they rub?

In the rear they were rubbing against the sway bar, more so on the driver's side.
