You could either buy a "AC/Heater delete" plate and cut up your existing housing to fabricate the delete plate and portions of your housing together to accommodate the blower motor mounting and add holes for heater hoses (make what you are needing)....or, I believe, what might work would be would be the related parts that came stock on a ZR-1....you'll have to do some digging, good luck👍

the zr-1 box is lower profile?
i still want the heater, just not a/c condenser / box assembly
I could be wrong, but I'm convinced I've read about it here, seems the LT5 needed more room. I remember one being for sale here on the forum, in the last year or two. Just do a web search for ZR-1 engine compartment images and see what it looks like. Like I said, I may wrong, but it's worth a look👍
These GM #'s would be the LT5 outlet evap cases required, 52450785 and 52452599 and I believe that you would also need the the corresponding inlet 52453155 to complete the fit.

I wonder what the Challenge cars used!?, I can't imagine they came with AC (maybe for defrost?)....maybe not heat either, but it seems like you might need the heat on for those rainy races....but basically Diz, it seems the suggestions are to get creative and make one...you have a great example to copy and with minimal materials investment, some rivets, tin snips, imagination and a little elbow grease...you'll have what you want....if you can figure out all the boosted stuff, suspension, brakes, etc....you can figure out a cover to keep your blower motor! Make it out of cardboard first, get it just right and then make the real thing!👍

I'd also be curious to know how similar the housings on other GM vehicles of '80s-'90s vintage that were non-ac would be...like an '84 Camaro with no AC....you could possibly find something like that and section out the portion you need and fuse the the 2 together....like I said, get creative👍
I think the above is just making a simple project way to complicated. I removed my Heater- AC Box and cut out 2/3rds of it leaving enough room for the Air to flow through the Heater Core. Of course, I ended up having a giant hole in it that needed to be blocked off. For that I used some Cardboard and Duct Tape and made a Mold. The purists will say you can't use normal Fiberglass Resin on a C4 but I beg to differ on something like a Heater Box. I mixed a Black Color in with the Resin. Once cured I pulled my mold off and did some more Glassing from the back side. The new Fiberglass will be way to Black and Shiny with the coloring in it but 20 minutes of sanding with 300 paper and it will be hard to tell from the original press molded Fiberglass. I have been at Car Shows and pointed out that my 1990 is a very rare COPO car that was Radio (yep I filled in the Antenna hole) and AC Delete. But then I break down and tell them the Truth.
