Default Street tire, stock LT1 Drag Strip times posted...

Went to Rock Falls Raceway Sunday for the last "Fun Day" of the year...it was my 3rd time ever to a real track, and I made it to the 5th round of eliminations (actually won a trophy...kinda cool).

Here are my best 1/4's...

...........Run 1.......Run 2
R/T____.407_____.098
60'___2.096_____2.100
1/4__13.590____13.591
MPH__104.83____99.93

What a beautiful day today...and it was nice to take home the hardware.

BTW...I lost the 5th round of Street Eliminator (it felt funny with just a couple of cars in staging)...here is how much I lost by...

________ME____Other guy
Dial___13.55______13.51
R/T_____.098_______.046
60'____2.100______2.073
1/4___13.591_____13.552

So, there is usually so much debate on the forum about what will an LT1 do...here is what an LT1 will do with a slightly experienced driver...

That's better than what I'm currently running. With the Corsa and my new heavy wheels, I'm averaging a 13.65.

I think I'll be getting rid of these black 5 spokes that weigh a ton, I was much happier when I was running consistent 13.1-13.2

Mojo, how much did the heavy wheels affect your MPH?What is a good set of lightweight wheels for everyday use?

No idea...any veterans on the forum explain that? I had my foot in it the entire run...why one was 104 and the other 99...only the timeslip knows :D

I'm using aftermarket GS wheels Mojo...they weigh the same as the sawblades I took off...next year I'm going to get some sticky tires and put them on my old sawblades.

BTW, if anyone is curious, I run Yokohama street tires...

gears, those wheels weigh about 5 lbs more each than stock.

I used to run 13.00's quite often with most of my runs in the 13.10's all with 1.9 60's.

Now I can barely get a 2.0 60' and 13.35 is the best so far.

My mph went up to 108 with th eCorsa, with the muff elims I couild only manage 106.

Probably not at the Rock...they don't prep the track well enough usually for the fun days...this time they did a much better job.

Later I'll post a vid of me breaking loose in the 1 to 2 shift...couldn't believe the car would break loose (didn't think it was powerful enough).

Still Mojo...low 13's with streets is waaay impressive...
