I can say that with 2.59 gears, and stock exhaust I could barely burn rubber, the first mod I did was putting straights and new mufflers, it was a huge difference, and can break em slow rolling now. It makes a difference.

I dont think its worth it to port the iron heads found on '84-E'86. When I removed mine I took a real good look at them and decided that even with porting they would not compare to a good set of aftermarket heads. Yes it costs a lot more but you get more flow, bigger valves, and a LOT less weight.
