I cut the EGR boss off with a 9" grinder and welded holes closed

hidden behind the newly added pass side rear water outlet elbow, is the oem lt1 egr inlet...stay at least 1/4 inch above the lower of the two egr pipe mounting flange bolt holes...center egr transfer chamber, exposed when cutting egr bosses off, can be plugged by a 'shaped' 1-3/4'' rubber 'core plug' (expands when its center bolt is tightened)...those 'ugly' 1/2'' galv steel pipe 90* elbows (shown) at rear water outlets will flow more water than any of their pretty sisters.

bridgeport vertical mill is nice, saw one mfld that was cut down by hand with a hacksaw.
