ANYONE WITH AN EMISSION PROBLEM ON THEIR 95-96 LT1 EMISSIONS BURNING OIL? i DON'T THINK IT'S VALVE SEALS,
I AM LOOKING AT EMISSIONS.

Just calmly tell us when it makes smoke. On startup, acceleration, foot off the gas slowing down. Need more info. I suspect you already checked your PCV valve. Dan

It does it most when I accelerate the gas.

Take it to a shop and ask for a leak down test. This is a symptom of worn rings. Dan

I wonder where the notion that the emissions system can cause smoking comes from? There is really nothing in that system that would cause your car to smoke. I also wonder why you do not think it would be valve guides/seals? Because you do not want it to be that?

I like the suggestion of a leak down test. You can determine if it is rings or valves that way. You almost certainly have an engine repair coming.

YES ON START UP. & acceleration. Once running no smoke.. I am going to pull the plugs out this weekend to see if there black.
