I used the AC delco belt on my 1993 Anny. This was to eliminate any small possible differences in length which could cause a fitment hassle.
The belt is a double sided groove type. I also replaced the plastic pulleys ( they are the same part number) in this case.
I used the Dayco pulleys as they seemed the best of the available choices and made in USA ( God Bless)

I also use a breaker bar and short socket, no issues. In fact the only trouble I had was squeezing the wide belt through the narrow gap between the balancer and crossmember, but a long-handle backscratcher works great for pushing it though there
Years ago I McGuyvered a foldable wrench for this purpose. I keep the wrench and a spare belt under my seat. With the wrench, it's easy to do it on my own, even at the side of the road. The curve allows it to fit better in that tight space.
Not correct. My 93 had the double side belt and when the tensioner pulley disintegrated and everything got chewed up, I had to replace several pulleys to change to the late 93 single side belt. The price to get the double side pulleys was prohibitive.
I have an early 93 (045) LT1 with double sided belt. Just wanted to add the harbor freight serpentine belt tool is $20, includes the 16mm socket I needed, and with forum instructions above took about 2 minutes to swap out the belt thanks everyone!
