Looks like that price has increased, ~$185/shipped.

neither...I hear you should get one bast custom from Bill Boudrou (not sure the spelling of his name) but he is a C4 transmission expert and can build you a short throw that will feel better, shift quicker and retain the reverse lockout.

I use a B & M with a Hurst ****.
I cannot even imagine life without it.
Yes, took some time, but one of the best bang for the buck mods that I
Ever made!
Today..... I would go with Boudreaux!

Everyone has their opinion on shifters, I like the Hurst, never had a problem with the reverse lockout gone. I liked it so much I purchased another in case I ever get back in a C4.

If I couldn't find one I'd go to ZF doc.

B&M would be my last choice.

I have the B&M short throw shifter on my '92 ZR1. It came with the car. The shifts are nice and quick....no complaints here.

I replaced the trans a few years ago when those brand new units were floating around. its a late model unit, so it doesn't have the reverse lockout. thank god, I hated it. thanks guys, ill check out bills shifter.

The "Hurst" is Chris's design. I've had one of his early units in there since before he sold the rights to Hurst.
I prefer the spring loaded one, rather than the early stock lockout. But either is fine.
Good choice. Buy from Chris. Support the ZR-1'ers

Loved the Hurst thats how the factory shoulda done it.
Install isnt too bad just bring some patience it wont be done in 20 min.
Totally worth it.

Didnt care for the B/M the throws were shorter but way too stiff and notchy/high effort for me. Could never get 2-3 right when hammering it.
