Recently got some e-mails from Northern Tool that they carry Bend Pack lift's, and certainly a top brand. Several year's back decided on a lift and checked out the ad's in a friend's custom rodding magazine. Ended up with a USA made Superior brand 4 poster from Superlifts.com. A little bargaining, and got free shipping, aluminum ramp's, bridge jack bracket and poly drip tray's included. Got a flat bed towing service to pick it up at the trucking yard and drop the 1400 lb package into my garage. Put it together myself with an engine picker, and been holding up very well over the year's.

One more thing I forgot to mention. Ask to have the lift shipped on a flat bed trailer.
The difference:
Enclosed trailers get loaded and unloaded several times as they pass cross country.
Flat beds get loaded once. The lift isn't removed until it reaches it's destination. The downside, you have to wait until they have a full truck.
If you don't live close to CA then it's worth it, you will have less damage to your lift from loading and unloading.
Just my 2cents

All Bend Pak lifts ship from CA no matter who you buy them from.
In this economy, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who stocks a four post lift unless you can buy factory direct.
With Bend Pak you cannot, must buy from an authorized dealer.

That would be a great deal if you can pull it off. You might even have enough to make one flat bed load.
One side note if you are planning to install yourself;
You need the use of a fork lift to remove your lift from the truck. The driver will not unload the lift.
If you are having the lift installed, no problem, it will be delivered to the installer and they will bring it to your garage.

I bought a Bend Pac about 4 yrs ago,,,,its a 2 post,,,can't remember what the model number is but it will lift 12000 lbs. I only bought one that heavy so it would also pick up my 4wd Dodge Ram Diesel Pickup. I ordered it online and had it trucked to my work where we unloaded the shipping crate with a small forklift. If you can work on your corvette, you can handle the install on one of these lifts. At the time,,,I felt Bend Pak was the best deal for the price because it included all the lifting spacers you need to lift different vehicles. Some of the lift manufacturers charge extra for them. It also came with a handy lifting guide showing many lifting points on american and foreign vehicles. I opted for the 230V unit but I'm sure the 115V would work just fine. If you wanted to save on electrical work, you could run the low voltage unit off a heavy duty extension cord. I am very pleased with it so far, have had no issues, very well made unit.
I need a lift that I can use as platform to lift up my four wheelers to storage area to get them out of one of my bays-off the bottom floor (has three bays).
I know back yard buddy sells the accessories to make the lift into a platform...

While technically true, a lot depend's on your availible service. My garage has a dedicated 20 amp 115v feed so o.k. running my lift's 16 amp hydraulic pump that way. Some home's only have 15 amp 115v garage feed's, that may have other outlet's shared on it, so could be a problem. Many lift's(mine included), can be wired for 230v@8 amp's, so probably the best way for frequent use.

I opted to buy a Back Yard Buddy lift over 2 years ago with the 110 volt pump motor. I wanted to buy an American made lift and I still think it is one of the best lifts on the market and made in Ohio too. The only draw back to the 110 volt system is that it is a little slower going up than the 220 volt system.
